No Fun Allowed

America was full of signs everywhere u went telling you that you couldn’t do something. The hostel I stayed at in Piran wasn’t too dissimilar.

When we arrived in Piran harbour we realised our hostel was a 20 minute walk away… up a very steep incline. After the sweatiest walk of my life in 30°+ temperatures we arrived. Not a bad hostel but there were some very demanding signs. On the back of each door was a list of rules – and penalties you’d receive for breaking them. My favourite being a €100 fine for food being in your room. Compared with everywhere else I’ve been it seemed much less welcoming and fun. At the very least it sparked a memory of mum’s old blog.

Piran itself though, very fun! A beautiful coastal town where we had our first swim of the trip. We basked on rocks, swam and drank more Lasko beer. Couldn’t have asked for better weather either.
